Hi from Starbucks.

Hi from Starbucks.
Today, I did some things. Here are a few, in no particular order.
I went for a walk. I skipped kettlebell class today because I pushed too hard during Monday’s workout and strained my lower back when I got too tired to swing correctly. I learned that I need to go a little easier on myself; I’ve never been an athlete. I made a nice dinner, but it was all carbs and didn’t really satisfy. The vegetables were fresh and quite tasty, though. I boxed up some books and other clutter hanging out on my floor. I swept or mopped or vacuumed the floors, depending on their various requirements. I wrote some correspondence what needed writing. I made plans and put them in a calendar and then canceled some plans and took them out of a calendar. I thought about work and then thought better of thinking about work. I spent time watching my bird eat a piece of cereal and the tissue it lay upon. I caught up on some podcasts, one of which gave me some new hip-hop knowledge. I scratched some things off of a to do list.
In fact, now that I’ve written this, I can scratch one more off. ![[WS]](/blog/media/end.gif)
From the depths of memory:
“Summer is here. Cooking dinner with your best friend, retiring to the porch for a beer. Driving home feeling good, wind in your mohawk. Turning off the car and coasting the last mile to your house in the twilight silence.”
See you soon. ![[WS]](/blog/media/end.gif)
Sartre was right. This is the second time that I’ve written a blog post from a miserable waiting room. Today the culprits are two young hipster lovers sitting here awaiting their call for traffic court. The stupid girl’s ridiculous boyfriend will not shut up with his inane banter. I have been here for fifty minutes now listening to pointless stories and badly formed sentences. I must be getting old; I hate kids. ![[WS]](/blog/media/end.gif)
Apropos of the current economic climate and a renewed interest in Keynesian economic theory, this article from The Economist’s Intelligent Life. Thanks to Nina at Queercents for reblogging it earlier today.![[WS]](/blog/media/end.gif)
