You wanna add to the pile of year-end lists? Great! You don’t, however, need to preface your list with a lengthy treatise on how terrible you feel for adding to the great glut of top tens and twenty bests; besides, if you really felt ill over it, you’d keep the damnable thing to yourself, being most likely your own whole audience anyway. Furthermore, if anyone actually cared to read your proclamation, don’t you think they’d find an apology rather superfluous? Just ditch the guilt. ![[WS]](/blog/media/end.gif)

My stars, I would love a new computer. Newer streaming content and media-rich sites barely function on this nearly 7 year old beast, plus I can’t watch videos hiccup-free if my iPod is plugged in, and iTunes’ performance is a joke. Considering I more or less exclusively use technology for media delivery like everyone else these days, it probably stands to reason that I should save up and get something new. But what? And how long do I have to wait until there is funding? ![[WS]](/blog/media/end.gif)

He said, “Fuck you guys, it’s too hot,” so no encore. And it was too hot. It’s why you should never pay for two tickets to a show when you’re not certain there are two of you going. ![[WS]](/blog/media/end.gif)

Somehow, despite my perpetually tired state, I can’t seem to fall asleep. Courtney says this is likely due to my restricted movement; I only leave the house once a day to go to the mailbox. Despite this, my caloric intake is probably somewhat normal. I would have thought that the body would somehow decide for itself, “No, I don’t need these extra snacks.” But I’m still hungry.
As I write this, I’m lying in bed listening to the second side of Jaga Jazzist’s debut album, “A Livingroom Hush.” If you are at all a fan of jazz and haven’t checked these guys out, this disc comes highly recommended. The Norwegian ensemble puts forth a superb effort here, giving us an audio tour of their evening scene, stopping here and there to drop in on friends’ delightful little get-togethers. The only miss for the night is the group’s come-down in the eerie, almost concrète “Cinematic,” but even here you have to concede truth in the analogy: you can’t party forever.
I’m going to do my best to sleep. I wonder if my Pumpkin Spice latte was really decaf. ![[WS]](/blog/media/end.gif)

My music collection, while by no means exhaustive of any genre or even generally expansive, is large but recently has been rendered completely insufficient by my brain. I’m feeling like it’s totally played out. Please help me with some suggestions in the comments. ![[WS]](/blog/media/end.gif)
