I’m a month late to the party I guess but the new Basement Jaxx album has a set US release date of October 6. Bonus: it has Sam Sparro on a track. I desperately hope the record does well here; I would kill to see them live again, and they’ve said they’re basing the possibility of a US tour on stateside disc performance. Buy a copy — do it for me!

Debt

Today I wrote the last check to finish paying off my consumer debt. I am now debt free, excepting federal student loans. Even though those loans still decrease my net worth, I feel comfortable ignoring them as being “real debt,” but once I’ve established a little more heft in my savings, I may start paying extra toward them.

Either way, hooray!
